1898 Commemoration events in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington’s Commission on African American History & the New Hanover County’s Commission on African American History, Heritage and Culture are sponsoring events to honor the memory of the lives lost in the 1898 Wilmington Massacre and Coup d’état.

As the 126th anniversary approaches, the public is invited to be a part of this solemn gesture to heal  community by attending a commemoration event:
