2 arrested, 1 wanted for home invasion, robbery in Brunswick Co.


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people and are still looking for one more in connection to a home invasion, robbery and kidnapping on Old Ferry Road.

A spokeswoman with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested Jonathan Velez, 22, and Joshua Albarran, 22, on Friday for breaking and entering, damaging property, felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, and second degree kidnapping, and first degree burglary.

According to arrest warrants, the two had a single barrel shotgun when they broke into a house in the 2000 block of Old Ferry Road. The warrants said a silver lock box with foreign coins and paper documents were taken.

The warrants also said Velez and Albarran kidnapped Herman Faircloth and Erika Faircloth.

The spokeswoman said deputies are looking for a third person wanted for the incident. Deputies are looking for Miguel Rivera, 44. The spokeswoman said the sheriff’s office is offering a reward for the capture of Rivera.
