2 killed in Elizabethtown crash

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A crash in Bladen County killed two people Sunday afternoon.

According to Highway Patrol, the call came in at 3:52 p.m.

A 2001 BMW was driving east on Sweet Home Church Road, near Highway 701 in Elizabethtown, when it ran off the road and over-corrected, hitting a 2000 BMW driving west.

Highway Patrol says the head-on collision killed the driver and passenger of the 2001 BMW. People in the other car were taken to New Hanover County Regional Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
