2 UNCW Seahawks taken on day two of MLB Draft

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two former UNCW Seahawks were selected in this year’s MLB Draft.

Left-handed-pitcher Luke Craig was taken 224th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks and right-handed-pitcher RJ Sales was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the 296th pick.

Both Craig and Sales earned First-Team All-Coastal Athletic Association honors this year as the Seahawks captured their second consecutive and league-record 8th conference tournament title.

UNCW has now had 94 players selected in the MLB Draft and 21 in the top 10 rounds.
