Two year anniversary of Wilmington woman’s disappearance
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Today marks two years since Shannon Rippy VanNewkirk was last seen outside the Husk in Downtown Wilmington.
James Bradley was charged with VanNewKirk’s murder although her body has still not been found.
“It’s in the hands of the District Attorney. We’re working with the District Attorney’s office and we’re just waiting for it to hit the court system,” said Captain Thomas Witkowski with the Wilmington Police Department.
According to a Facebook post friends and family are still looking for answers about exactly what happened to their loved one.
