Deer hunters allowed in parts of Duke Forest
DURHAM — Designated hunters from two local clubs will be able to hunt deer in Duke University’s Duke Forest as part of an effort to slow damage that the animals cause. Elizabeth City to add 18 security cameras
ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Elizabeth City plans to add 18 neighborhood security cameras to the six that police say have helped them make arrests in two shootings, a hit-and-run and a car burglary. Park service offers moonlight tour of lighthouse
BUXTON, N.C. — The National Park Service is selling tickets for a full moon tour of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Attorney general to investigate rising gas prices
RALEIGH — State Attorney General Roy Cooper plans to mail subpoenas this week to look into consumer complaints of price gouging at some gas stations across North Carolina.
