Craft brewery to be built in Shallotte

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — A craft brewery is on its way to Shallotte.

The developer plans on building it right next to Wing and Fish Company on Main Street.

Property Owner Barrett McMullan said the brewery is out of Marietta, Georgia. It is called Red Hare Brewing. He said they hope to break ground in the next month or two.

McMullan said it is going to be a great addition to Shallotte and this part of the street.

“You know it’s the real deal, and to bring that here to Shallotte is just going to open up a lot of opportunities for a lot of folks here,” McMullan said.

McMullan said the company hopes to be open this summer, but that is not set in stone yet. He said they also have bigger plans for this area and a larger development.
