19-year-old woman shot in Wilmington dies


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A 19-year-old woman shot in Wilmington last week has died after being taken off life support.

Savannah Miller was shot in the 700 block of South 13 Street and Wooster Street at 10:30 PM on Oct. 14.

She was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where she was put on life support.

On Saturday, Wilmington Police spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron said she had died as a result of her injuries.

Police are now investigating the case as a homicide.
