Man accused of shooting Wilmington man arrested in Greensboro

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  A Wilmington man accused of shooting another man during a fight in late January has been arrested in Greenboro.

Dishaune Bunting, 25, is accused of shooting Almonda Daye, 23, around 4 p.m. January 21 in the 1500 block of South 15th Street during a fight. Daye suffered non-life threatening wounds.

Police say Bunting left Wilmington following the shooting.

Members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force from the Wilmington Police Department located Bunting in Greensboro, and worked with Task Force members out of Greensboro to secure his arrest.

He is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury With Intent to Kill and Assault by Pointing a Gun. He has a $500,000 bond.
