Family of missing Bladen County man pleading for the public’s help in finding him

CLARKTON, NC (WWAY) — The family of a missing Bladen County man is frantically working to find out what happened to him since he disappeared last week.

“We just want him home,” Brandon McDonald’s sister Shannon Russell said. “We just want him home. That’s all we want, we just want him home.”

Russell says they had no indication of anything being off leading up to his disappearance.

“This is very unusual, very unusual for him,” Russell said. “He would have called home by now. I mean, we’re going on six days. This is very uncharacteristic for him.”

According to Russell, Brandon’s truck was discovered wrecked and abandoned in Hope Mills, with no sign of her brother.

“To not call home and let somebody know ‘hey he’s alright, or hey I’m in trouble’, and for the truck to come back the way it did to us,” Russell added. “It’s very, very uncharacteristic.”

The Bladen County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for McDonald. But his family is also pleading for the community’s help in bringing Brandon back home safely.

“If anybody out there knows where he is, just let us know where he’s at,” Russell said.

There is a $1,000 reward to anyone who can provide information to help find McDonald.
