2nd annual 3 Chambers Festival to start Wednesday in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wednesday marks the start of a festival that will bring together some very popular cultural genres.
The 2nd Annual 3 Chambers Festival will bring together hip-hop, martial arts, and anime over 4 days.
Events from special performances by hip-hop artists like Mickey Factz and MindsOne to the advanced screening of Killa Hill, a true crime documentary are all part of the festival.
Festival founder Christopher Everett said he started it to bring something unique to the Port City.
“And I think that’s really why I wanted to do it here because, you know, I travel all over the country man and I see these type of events happening, you know, in D.C., in New York and all that stuff,” Everett said. “I said you know what, why not have these same type of cultural experiences right here in the Port City.”
The festival has also partnered with the North Carolina Arts Foundation to raise money for the NC Arts Disaster Relief Fund.
25% of all sales from the festival will go to help artists living in western North Carolina.
The festival runs until Saturday at various locations. Click here for more details and tickets.
