2nd teenager charged in New Hanover County murder

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office has made a second arrest for the murder that took place Sunday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jamail Tramble, 18, has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, First Degree Attempted Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy.

Early Sunday morning, 27-year-old Nathaniel Turner was found dead at Meridian Village Apartments in the Northchase area, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. A 24-year-old female was also shot multiple times and transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center by EMS. The sheriff’s office says she is in stable condition, and that the two suspects knew the victims.

The sheriff’s office already arrested an unnamed 16-year-old on charges of First Degree Murder, Attempted First Degree Murder, and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. 

Tramble is being held at the New Hanover County Detention Facility under no bond. This is an ongoing investigation; additional information will be released as it becomes available.
