30+ private boats, US Coast Guard look for missing fishermen

OAK ISLAND, NC (WWAY) — Both the Coast Guard and people on private boats continue to combed the coast along the Carolinas searching for the two fishermen missing since Sunday.

Friends of the Hambrick family tell us more than 30 private boats have been in the water searching for the two fishermen.

Marinas from Brunswick County to Charleston have asked boaters to search for the men.

This is now the third day of the search.

We are waiting to hear more from the US Coast Guard when they have an update.
