Brunswick Co. drug operation leads to several arrests

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County drug operation ended with several arrests, according to a release.

A Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said agents with the drug enforcement unit concluded “Operation: You’re Next” Wednesday.

Cordero Lamir Bland, 27, was arrested for charges including trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin and maintaining a dwelling, among others. He was booked in jail under a $1.2 million bond.

Ray Charles Bland, Jr., 29, was arrested for charges including trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, and selling and delivering the drug, among others. He was booked in jail under a $1.2 million bond.

Deputies said they seized more than 1,300 bags of heroin from the Bland residence, more than $1,600 in cash and a stolen firearm.

Terry Lazel Sapp, 42, was arrested for possession and selling and delivering heroin. He was booked in jail under a $1 million bond.

Finally, George Herman Hill, 64, was arrested on possession of heroin and selling and delivering the drug. He was also booked in jail under a $1 million bond.

The sheriff’s office spokeswoman said several more people are wanted on similar charges.
