Students talk traveling abroad after terrorist attacks
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — For students at UNCW this morning’s attacks were sobering, yet not disheartening.
“If you live your life being in fear of what could happen to you, you’re never going to live your life,” said senior Madison Roberts. This summer she plans on going to Austria, Italy, and Germany.
Those travel plans remain in place, but safety is a top priority.
“Just being aware of our surroundings and making sure that we have all of our documents and everything,” said Roberts.
Senior Cassie Radcliffe said that is just a risk of traveling and the attacks won’t stop her from seeing the world.
“We have risks staying in America. We have risks traveling to different cities, especially with our school shootings. I think it’s a big risk to think about, but not an ultimate deciding factor,” said Radcliffe.
