5-year-old girl drowns in Raleigh swimming

RALEIGH, NC (AP) — A 5-year-old girl has died at a Raleigh hospital after being pulled from a swimming pool.

Raleigh police said in a statement that officers were called to an apartment complex Sunday evening.

The girl was taken to the hospital where she died. Her name has not been released.

Police say there is no sign of foul play but the investigation is continuing.
