6.7 Magnitude earthquake hits India
GAUHATI, India (AP) — A 6.7 magnitude earthquake in India’s remote northeast region has killed at least eight people and injured more than 100 others.
The death and injuries were caused by falling debris.
Police say the powerful tremor that struck before dawn today left large cracks in walls and a portion of a popular market building collapsed in the capital of Manipur state.
