Freeman Park reopens after storm issues

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Freeman Park is reopening this afternoon following issues with high tides, wind and rain.

A town spokesperson said the park is set to reopen 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, but officials will continue to monitor conditions and an upcoming storm for later this week.

The park was forced to close due to this past weekend’s high tides, wind and rain damaged the beach. Crews worked to repair and cleanup the area.
