Freeman Park to reopen following storms

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Town officials said Freeman Park is scheduled to reopen Friday after another round of storms and high tides forced its closure.

A town spokesperson said the park will reopen 7 a.m. Friday. It’s closed due to flooding issues on Canal and Carolina Beach Avenue North from high tides. Crews are also cleaning up debris in the park left by the most recent storm.

The park has been closed twice in the past month due to storms.
