The senior feels the sport of lacrosse has been an inspiration for her and has helped Hill improve her social skills.

The junior just finished her second season of wrestling for the Buccaneers. She took up the sport after watching her brother compete.
The junior stars on the girl's basketball team that is fresh off a state championship appearance last year and another conference championship this year, leading the Vikings in rebounds. Fitzgerald is one of the few in the running to be the Azalea Princess as well. She says she wanted to 'grow herself' by putting herself out of her comfort zone and increase her confidence.
While starring on Laney's basketball team, the senior is an early college student at CFCC and Sea Tech High School. He is studying to become an engineer like his uncle.
She just earned a perfect score on the reading portion of the ACT. Her time is spent with the Beta Club, National Technical Honors Society, HOSA club, and was previously co-editor of the yearbook.
The senior is an all-conference running back, has collected 40 wins on the wrestling mat, and ran track his first three seasons.

This week's Student Athlete of the Week suffered a health scare last year that cost her some of her sophomore season. She suffered a pneumonia diagnosis that required multiple surgeries and other procedures during her weeks-long stay. Now back on the tennis court and soccer field as a junior for the Hoggard Vikings, Mia Neuwirth is using that experience to champion her passion of helping others.
