Port City United hosts Soul Santa’s Ugly Sweater Christmas Dance

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County service provider spreading cheer and fun before Christmas felt that gaudy was a good thing for the holidays.

Port City United hosted Soul Santas’s Ugly Christmas Sweater Dance at the Wilmington Sportsman’s Club Friday evening. The event featured lots of family-friendly activities including an ugly sweater dance and photos with Santa. Port City United Connects families and individuals in need with resources and service providers in our area. PCU Outreach Specialist Elizabeth Graham said events like this tend to bring people together.

“It’s a great thing, a beautiful thing because a lot of people, we’ve had a lot of losses lately. Gun violence, people dying of natural causes, everything. So, bringing the community back together and celebrating, just having fum” Graham said.
