Warming Shelter opening next week as arctic air arrives

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Warming Shelter will be opening its doors next week as the coldest air of the season arrives.

With several nights below 30 degrees forecast, the shelter will be open on January 16th and January 17th.

The pop-up overnight emergency shelter is for people needing a warm and safe place to stay when freezing weather arrives.

It’s located at 401 Grace Street.
