Boiling Spring Lakes commissioners unanimously vote to dedicate new PD building for officer killed in 2005

BOLING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday evening in favor of dedicating the new Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department building for an officer killed in 2005.

Officer James Mitchell Prince was shot and killed during a traffic stop in January of 2005.

The dedication in his honor will take place during Police Week, which begins May 12th.

An exact date hasn’t been finalized, but it will likely be May 14th, according to officials.
