Surf City Police Department once again giving away free gun locks to protect children

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Surf City Police Department is once again giving away free gun locks to residents.

The Department first offered the locks a year ago, aiming to keep children safe from guns.

You can stop by the Department Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to pick up a lock.

A coloring book and crayons will also be provided for kids.
