UNCW’s swimming and diving program win second straight CAA Championship

HAMPTON, VA (WWAY) — For the second straight year, the UNCW Seahawks swimming and diving teams are the CAA Champions after sweeping both championship meets on Saturday in Hampton, Virginia.

It is the third time in the schools history that both men’s and women’s programs have won their championships in the same season. This is also the 16th championship all-time on the men’s side, and the 5th for the women’s program. On top of that, head coach Bobby Guntoro was named the CAA’s Men’s and Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year. Gavrilo Blijden was named as the Men’s Diving Coach of the Year as well.
