Whiteville man arrested on drug trafficking charges

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man has been arrested for allegedly trafficking methamphetamine.

Colton Phillip Fowler, 25, of Red Hill Road is charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, PWIMSD methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation was initiated after the Sheriff’s Office received information that Fowler was regularly delivering methamphetamine from Clarkton to Southport. Fowler was located and arrested by BCSO drug agents in Southport on February 28th following a probable cause search of his vehicle. A firearm and approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine were seized as a result of the search, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Fowler was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Facility and released the same day on a $100,000 bond.
