After a day of rain, nicer weather brings people out to enjoy the sun at Wrightsville Beach

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH (WWAY) — With some nice weather after quite a bit of rain Thursday, some residents took to the beach to spend their Friday afternoon.

At Wrightsville Beach, dozens of people enjoyed temperatures in the 70’s by soaking in the rays, playing games with friends or taking pictures. While the water temperatures might not be ideal for some, the weather was good enough to get out and get a taste of what summer will offer. Some people did however walk along the shoreline testing the waters despite some high currents.

According to Yifey Ding, an international student at UNCW, said its nice to enjoy a day at the beach with her busy schedule.

“I feel pretty happy to go to beach, I feel pretty relaxed because, UNCW give us a lot of assignments. So, I feel very stressful, so it’s a good chance for us to come here and relax here.”

Ding will be going back to China once her school year is finished and her wish before she leaves school is to hopefully see a dolphin.
