Sunset Beach scam involving pest control workers

SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Police say two scammers entered a home in the Sea Trail community Thursday afternoon, falsely claiming to be pest control employees.

Once they were inside, they sprayed an unknown chemical throughout the home and stole items.

Police are looking for a white Chevy pickup truck with no lettering and say one man was about 6 foot 2 and in his mid-30s while the other was about 5 foot 7 and in his mid-50s.
