Senior at South Columbus dies
18-year-old Zyrainna Drayton was a member of the Stallion girl's basketball team

TABOR CITY, N.C. (WWAY) – South Columbus High School has announced the death of an 18-year-old student.
Zyrainna Drayton was a senior on the South Columbus girl’s basketball team. Teammates, family and friends called her “Rain” and she was said to be an ‘All A’s student’.
A cause of death was not released.
This week were final exams for South Columbus students. There were no athletic games planned. As of now, the teams’ schedule resumes on Tuesday, when the Stallions visit Whiteville High School.
Head coach Carlos Tisdale took to Facebook to say the team and school will try to fundraise for the family.
