Feast Wilmington returns for a weekend of culinary delights
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Foodies are in for a treat this weekend as Feast Wilmington returns for its second year, offering a multiple-day celebration of the city’s culinary scene. The festival, which takes place downtown, brings together local chefs, breweries, and distilleries for a variety of themed events.
“Feast is a food and drink festival designed to showcase the culinary talent that we have here in Wilmington, as well as breweries and distilleries,” said Feast Director Jessica Maurer. “It’s the whole package of our culinary scene and a great way to be able to check out all of those things in one spot.”
The main events will take place at Live Oak Bank Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday, each featuring a unique theme and a rotating lineup of chefs and beverage makers.
Saturday’s lineup kicks off at 11 a.m. with the Craft & Cuisine event, a collaboration with the Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance, pairing 22 breweries with local restaurants to create unique food and drink pairings. Later that evening, the Pier Party offers a coastal-inspired dining experience.
“It has a little bit of a coastal vibe, seafood theme—although it’s not entirely seafood,” Maurer explained. “Again, that’ll be 20 or 22 different chefs at that event.”
On Sunday, the festival wraps up with Brunch Elevated, featuring sweet and savory brunch favorites, along with cocktails, mocktails, and coffee options.
“Each has a different theme, a completely different lineup of chefs,” Maurer said. “You can see all those lineups on our website. It also lists the actual menu items that each of them are going to be serving.”
Attendees can purchase tickets for individual events or opt for a weekend pass, which grants access to all three main events.
“The tickets are all-inclusive of food and drink,” Maurer said. “Your ticket allows you to taste and sip as much as you want, all included.”
Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music will accompany each event. The Blue Footed Boobies will perform at Craft & Cuisine, the Hatch Brothers will take the stage at the Pier Party, and DJ Tracy Shedd will provide tunes during Brunch Elevated.
In addition to the main festivities, several Feast Experiences are happening around town leading up to the weekend. Limited tickets remain for Pies and Pints at Benny’s Big Time, a pizza and beer event in partnership with Mad Mole Brewing, and a tailgate party at the Starling Bar featuring Southern Smoke BBQ and Lawrence Barbecue.
