Little Shop of Horrors screening in Boiling Spring Lakes to benefit parks and nature trail

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WWAY) — Families are invited to grab their blankets and beach chairs for a special outdoor movie night in Boiling Spring Lakes.
Friends of BSL Parks & Recreation will host a showing of the classic musical comedy “Little Shop of Horrors” on Friday, October 3, at the BSL Community Center on Leeds Road.
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with flytrap presentations and a themed craft activity. Guests will also have the chance to visit with local conservation and environmental groups to learn about Venus flytraps and how to help preserve their natural habitat, found right in Boiling Spring Lakes. The movie begins at sunset, around 7 p.m.
Tickets are $5. Concessions, including popcorn, drinks and more, will be available, along with a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds benefit Friends of BSL Parks & Recreation and the future educational extension of the community’s nature trail, which will highlight the rare and unique Venus flytrap.
In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for October 10.
