Missing 12-year-olds found at Walmart, taken to hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two 12-year-olds reported missing Monday were located Wednesday at a Walmart on Carolina Beach Road and taken to Novant Health Main Campus.

Ella Kolland and Mina Stevens had been reported missing by their families after leaving home early Monday morning.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office confirmed both teens were found safe and thanked the community for its assistance.

Kolland’s mother says the teens will receive further care and monitoring as needed.
