WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Former UNCW Men’s Basketball Head Coach Kevin Keatts has a new job lined up.

According to a news release from ESPN, Kevin Keatts will join ESPN and ACC Network as a College Basketball Studio Analyst.

Keatts is one of five additional men’s college basketball analysts who will bolster the ESPN roster during the 2025-26 season.

He coached the UNCW Men’s Basketball team for three seasons from 2014 to 2017, leading the Seahawks to postseason play each season including two back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

More recently, Keatts led the 2024 NC State Men’s Basketball team to an ACC Championship and a Final Four appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

After eight seasons, Keatts’ overall record at NC State was 151-113; he lost his job there in March 2025.

Throughout the years, Keatts has maintained his ties to the Wilmington community.

He’s participated as a judge in the Dancing with the Seahawks fundraiser, and he is the co-owner of Tempo 33 Piano Bar in downtown Wilmington.

Keatts will make his on-air debut on ESPN on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m. when No. 19 Kansas takes on No. 25 North Carolina.
