CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority announced that starting January 1st, there will be a $1 fee for printed and mailed bills.

The fee is being assessed due to increasing printing and postage costs.

CFPUA customers can sign up for paperless billing online to avoid the fee and can also receive notifications about their paperless bills via email, text, or both.

Customers will need the online activation code listed on their bill to register their online CFPUA account.

Once your account is set up, click the “Account Summary” page and select “Sign up for paperless billing” to enroll.
