Kevin Fowler named Tabor City Police Chief after Chief Dowless retired
TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — Tabor City Police Department has a new police chief.
Kevin Fowler assumed the role from Chief Dowless who retired after providing 20 years of service to the community.
Fowler was born and raised in Tabor City.
He retired as a special agent from the U.S. Secret Service in April 2023, where he served in Charlotte, New York, Wilmington, and Washington D.C.
In a social media post, Fowler said “Our first and foremost priority is and always will be to protect and serve our community. I’m very grateful and appreciative of all the support we have received since my arrival, and I look forward to meeting everyone in our community.”
