Ryan Wiener joined WWAY in November 2025. He primarily works on the 7:30 newscast, while also assisting with other shows, shooting video and contributing to the station’s website. In addition to his newsroom duties, Ryan helps film sports programming for The 5th Quarter and Full Court Press.
Ryan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earning his degree in communication studies with a minor in journalism in May 2025. Before joining WWAY full time, he interned with the station during the fall of 2024, where he focused on sports coverage.
While in college, Ryan was recognized for his work with an Innovation Award at the 2025 Student Media Awards.
