Craven County Schools responds to questions about document included in Epstein files

CRAVEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY/WCTI) — Craven County Schools has issued a statement after questions were raised about a document included in materials released by the U.S. Department of Justice related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
The document appears on the official Department of Justice website and is listed among the federally released files. The name on the document, which appears to be an immunization record connected to an individual associated with Havelock Middle School, has been redacted, along with medical information.
WCTI reported it reached out to Craven County Schools for comment, and the district responded with a statement addressing the matter.
“At this time, Craven County Schools is unable to comment on the authenticity of the referenced document or speculate on how it may have appeared within the federally released materials,” the statement said. “The district has not been contacted by federal authorities regarding this matter and has no information indicating any connection between Craven County Schools and the referenced investigation.”
The district also cited privacy obligations, noting that it does not comment on individual student records.
