Cold front brings rain chances this afternoon

(WWAY) — A cold front will bring rain chances today as temperatures reach 90 degrees again today.
Our hot and humid air mass will remain in place today. Meanwhile… a fairly strong cold front will pass through the region this evening. Ahead of the front… highs reach around or a little over 90 with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon and evening. Drier and somewhat cooler air flows in Friday behind the front with sunshine and scattered clouds and highs in the lower 80s. The front moves back north Saturday and it will combine with a disturbance to bring widely scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs around or a little over 80. Another cold front slips by late Saturday but our weather will continue somewhat unsettled still Sunday into the middle of next week as a frontal boundary and deeper moisture linger to the south while high pressure sits to the north. We expect partly cloudy skies Sunday with isolated showers possible and cooler than average highs in the upper 70s. Next Monday and Tuesday bring a continued chance of showers and highs in the upper 70s to near 80.
