Firefighters rescue two from overnight Wilmington townhome fire
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Fire Department responded to a second-alarm fire at a multi-family townhome on Costmary Lane overnight.
Firefighters quickly rescued two adults from the burning unit and brought the fire under control. Officials say the fire was contained to the affected townhome, with moderate damage extending into a neighboring unit.
No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting residents who were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office.
