Hot and humid weather continues today

(WWAY) — Temperatures rise back into the middle 90s this afternoon.
Strong high pressure surface and aloft dominates today bringing very low rain odds and hot temps. Look for plentiful sunshine with only a slight chance of an afternoon or early evening shower or thunderstorm. Heat indices will reach as high as 105 in spots. Thursday looks to bring dry… hot and humid weather with highs in the upper 90s as the high pressure peaks across the Carolinas. Changes arrive Friday and Saturday as a cold front drops down from the north and moves through the region by the beginning of the weekend. Look for a better chance of showers and thunderstorms late Friday and Friday night with again a hot and humid high in the upper 90s. By Saturday… highs drop back to around or a little over 90 with a continued chance of showers or thunderstorms. Sunday and next Monday the front sinks south of our area and starts to wash out lowering rain chances to just isolated showers or thunderstorms. Relatively seasonable high Sunday around or a little over 90 will be followed by rising high temps Monday into the lower to mid 90s.
