Wanted Tabor City man arrested following vehicle pursuit in South Carolina

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — A multi-agency law enforcement effort led to the arrest of a wanted Tabor City man following a vehicle pursuit in South Carolina, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.
On Aug. 19, officers with the Horry County Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle. The driver reportedly failed to stop, leading officers on a pursuit.
During the pursuit, an occupant of the vehicle allegedly threw a firearm out of the window, according to authorities.
The vehicle eventually stopped, but the driver got out and fled on foot into a wooded area.

Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, Robeson County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Border Belt Task Force worked together to locate Riggins in Robeson County.
Authorities said Riggins was taken into custody.
