WWII historian Wilbur Jones to hold two-day book signing at Wilmington’s historic USO building

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Military historian and author Wilbur D. Jones Jr. will host a two-day book signing Sept. 8-9 at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center in Downtown Wilmington, celebrating the release of his new book.

The book, “Don’tcha Know There’s a War On?: Life, Culture and Harsh Reality on the American Home Front,” examines life on the home front during World War II.

The signing will take place both days at the restored WWII-era USO building, located at 120 South Second St. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Jones and receive a personalized autographed copy of the book.
