WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Harrington Repertory is bringing a collection of four theatrical productions to Thalian Hall this November, offering audiences a mix of history, social commentary, comedy and drama.

The production, titled “Potpourri,” will run from Nov. 13 through Nov. 15 at Thalian Hall’s Ruth and Bucky Stein Studio Theatre in downtown Wilmington.

Written and directed by Rose-Mary Harrington, the production features four standalone plays exploring different aspects of the human experience.

Harrington’s previous work, “Orion’s Choice,” earned a nomination for Best Original Work at the 2025 Wilmington Theatre Awards.

The four plays featured in “Potpourri” include:

  • “Deeds Not Words”: A monologue exploring the historic women’s suffrage movement, previously produced by Equity Library Theater in New York.
  • “There Is No Dash”: Inspired by a Guardian News report about a woman facing death by stoning. The play won the Kentucky Fest of New Plays and the Winston-Salem Ten-Minute Play Festival.
  • “Gila Monster”: A world premiere examining the challenges senior citizens face when predatory forces threaten their independence and autonomy.
  • “Many Miles”: A lighthearted comedy centered around a cat, which won the Festival of Originals at Theater Southwest in Houston, Texas.

“We are thrilled to bring this dynamic collection of works to the Stein Studio Theatre,” Harrington said. “Each play explores a different facet of the human experience—from historical resilience and urgent modern struggles to sharp wit and comedy. There is truly something for everyone in this lineup.”

Performance dates and times:

  • Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
