A man from Columbus County faces drug charges after traffic stop

Columbus County, NC (WWAY) — A man faces multiple charges after a drug bust during a traffic stop in Columbus County.

According to a news release, detectives stopped a vehicle and searched it, which led to the discovery of approximately nine ounces of mushrooms and approximately four pounds of marijuana and marijuana extract.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Randy Dakota Jacobs of Maxton. As a result of the investigation, Jacobs has been charged with the following:

· Possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuana

· Maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance

· Trafficking in Schedule 1 controlled substance

· Possession of drug paraphernalia

· Failure to wear a seat belt

Jacobs was placed under a $125,000 secured bond
