A week after an arrest, Rocky Point man faces more sex crime charges

ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) — A man arrested last week on sex crime charges has been hit with more.
On August 13, 2025, the Detectives with the Pender County Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin Dale Furr, 46, of Rocky Point with seven counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
Detectives with the Special Victim’s Unit received information alleging that Justin Furr had been online sending and receiving inappropriate messages regarding child sexual abuse material.
The Pender County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from NCIS, the SBI, and U.S. Probation during this investigation.
Since his arrest, Furr has been charged with 13 additional counts of Second-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
The Sheriff’s Office says Furr is currently an active sex offender after being convicted of a similar offense in a different state.
