A Wilmington man sentenced to 10 years for drug trafficking

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington man is going to prison for at least 10 years after pleading guilty to attempted trafficking in opium this week.
Terry Days, Jr., 39, was out on bond for a 2023 drug trafficking charge in Duplin County when he sold several drugs to confidential informants outside his home in downtown Wilmington.
He was arrested on June 11th in a parking lot near his Taylor Homes address.
The sheriff’s office found more than 900 dosage units of fentanyl-laced pills at a place in the 1300 block of North 4th Street.
Days was scheduled to go to trial on the Duplin County charge Monday, but he decided to plead guilty to both the Duplin and New Hanover County charges.
