ABC’s ‘Secrets & Lies’ moving to California

CALIFORNIA (WWAY) — It’s not a secret anymore. ‘Secrets and Lies’ is moving coasts to take advantages of film credits.

The show was shot in Wilmington last year, and premiered on ABC and WWAY this year.

According to a press release from the California Film Commission, the production was conditionally approved to move to California to take advantage of the film credits offered through the state.

Last month, ABC renewed the show for another season.

The Charlotte-set drama starred Ryan Phillippe as a family man in Charlotte caught up in the murder of a young neighbor, who turned out to be his son from an extramarital affair.
