Accident snarls traffic in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Traffic came to a halt on a section of Highway 133 in Brunswick County late this afternoon.

A wreck shut down the two lane road near Olde Towne in Leland for a while.

Sheriff’s deputies had to divert traffic through the Olde Towne neighborhood.

The road opened back up a little before 8 p.m.

We have a call in to the NC Highway Patrol.  No word yet on what caused the accident or whether anyone was hurt.
