Actor Sean Astin to campaign for Clinton in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Rudy Guliani introduced Donald Trump when he visited Wilmington last month. Now a different well-known “Rudy” will come to the Port City to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

Actor Sean Astin, know for his roles in the movies Rudy, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Goonies, will campaign for visit Clinton’s campaign office at 5041 New Centre Drive, Suite 109, tomorrow at 7 p.m. to help kickoff of a phone bank.

The Clinton campaign says “Astin will discuss Hillary Clinton’s plan to build an economy that works for everyone,” while also underscoring the importance of registering to vote by Oct. 14.

Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara, a Wrightsville Beach native, made a similar vote to his campaign office in town last week.

Astin will take his campaign message to Fayetteville Wednesday.
