Aide accused of slapping seniors
WILMINGTON, NC (StarNews) — A Wilmington senior aide remained in custody Wednesday accused of hitting two residents Monday at an assisted living center.
Josephine Roland Irving, who also goes by the name Josie Roldan-Jacobs, 49, is charged with two counts of abuse of disabled/elderly with injury, New Hanover County jail records show.
According to Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Cathryn Lindsay, a witness called 911 just before 9 p.m. Monday and reported she saw Irving hit both a 76-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man in the face at at New Hanover House an assisted living facility.
